Content Rules
What belongs on Rayeq and what does not.
Version 2026-10-02
Draft for legal review. This text has not been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before launch.
The idea
Rayeq is people sharing real experiences so others can decide. We moderate behaviour and content, never opinions. A negative opinion is as welcome as a positive one, if it is honest.
Be honest
- Write about your own real experience. Do not post about places you have not tried, fake reviews, or reviews you were paid or pressured to write without saying so.
- Do not post the same opinion under several accounts, or ask others to vote opinions up or down.
- Do not write on behalf of a business you own or work for without a disclosure.
Disclose relationships
If you were given something, invited, work there, own it, were sponsored, or earn a commission, say so in the opinion using the disclosure choice. Hiding it is a breach even if what you wrote is true.
Respect people
- No harassment, threats, hate, or abuse, towards people or groups.
- Criticise the place, the product or the experience, not the staff as individuals. Do not name or describe private people.
- No sexual content involving minors, ever. We report it.
Keep private things private
Do not post other people's personal information (phone numbers, home addresses, ID numbers, private photos, messages). Do not post your own where it could harm you.
No spam or manipulation
No adverts, repeated or irrelevant posts, links whose only purpose is promotion, automated posting, or trying to game rankings. Do not impersonate a person, a business or us.
Respect copyright
Post your own words. Do not copy other people's reviews, photos or text. See the copyright page for how to report infringement.
Serious claims
"The food was cold" is an opinion. "They use expired meat" is a factual allegation. Say what you saw and when, do not present rumours as facts, and expect a human to review serious claims before action is taken either way.
What happens if the rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is and whether it is repeated, we may hide or remove content, send a warning, or suspend the account. We always record why. We do not remove content because someone disagrees with it, or because a business dislikes it.
If you disagree with our decision
Every decision about your content or account, with our reason, is in Settings under Moderation decisions. You can appeal each one once within 90 days, and a different person reviews it where we can.
Reporting something
Use Report on any opinion, comment, place, list or profile. A person on our team reads every report. Reporting because you disagree is not a valid reason, and the form says so.
